Overview to robot selection
During the quotation stage of project it is very important to select the correct robotic arm from the Hyundai Robot range of over 25 models.
Special range of robots
Because Hyundai use so many robots in their Hyundai and KIA Automotive facilities they have developed models with special features. Such as the YS range which are floor mounted to weld the sills on the car while other more convential robots work on the body side.
Software Simulation
As part of the selection process we use the HR space software package. This allows the part model to be imported and then robot 3D cad models can be positioned to suit select the reach and space.
Offline programming
An offline program can be written in the HR space using the robot programming language and creation of a Hi5 virtual controller.
The program can then be "run" and the robot model will move in its virtual world. This then allows the robot reach to be checked. Collisions can be checked for between two robots or between fixtures or parts. Finally the robot cycel time can be estimated.
This information will then be used to provide the customer with the confidence that the application is vaibale and cost effective.
